AI business: from an image to a physical product
An AI business selling physical products combines digital creation with real fulfilment. Explore an idea, prepare a manufacturable model and sell an object whose result has been checked. AI helps with creative exploration; product value still depends on buyers, quality, cost and delivery.

Define the product before the prompt
Identify the buyer and use first. A decorative keepsake and a desk accessory have different requirements for dimensions, stability and appearance.
A prompt can describe a creative direction. It cannot replace a specification or establish demand. More generated images do not automatically produce a stronger offer.
Understand the generation stage
Research such as TRELLIS demonstrates 3D representations generated from text or images. Geometry and textures can be separate outputs. A research demonstration is not a guarantee of printability or a commercial licence recommendation.
FRED AI Studio supports an image-to-3D workflow. Creation credits are separate from manufacturing costs; check tool terms and reference rights before selling.
Prepare a manufacturable object
Check thin features, balance, actual scale, mesh geometry and any assembly. A screen texture does not automatically become printed colour or physical relief.
Keep the initial generation, corrected model and final quoted file as clearly identified versions. Orders need to refer to the right version.
Use a sample to make a product decision
For a stylised animal keepsake, a development test could examine silhouette, stability and detail. Define acceptable differences from the preview before evaluating the sample.
Photograph the physical result. AI illustrations may explain a creative direction, but should not imply an imaginary finish has already been manufactured.
Prepare the offer and costs
Include generation experiments, corrections, samples, manufacturing, packaging, shipping and selling costs. Development expenses belong in your assumptions.
Start with a manageable set of choices. A validated shape with a few controlled options can be easier to fulfil than an entirely new design for every order.
Connect creation to fulfilment
The FRED Shopify connector is activated during the private beta, while the API supports custom workflows. Required checks and FRED payment precede manufacturing requests.
Prepare a first model, its intended use and meaningful personalisation options. FRED can help you examine the available manufacturing and ordering workflow.
